David L. Henry is a native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree in English and Economics from the University of Tennessee in 1988 and his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2004. During law school, he was a member of the Environmental Law Society; the Legal Clinic; and completed two consecutive internships with the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberland’s. Prior to practicing law, he was a landscaping and roofing contractor and operated an industrial supply business.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Henry worked for over ten years as an Assistant General Counsel with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, representing and litigating for the Divisions of Water Resources, Remediation, State Parks, Financial Assurance, Solid Waste, Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks, Air Pollution Control, and Oil and Gas. He later
served as a Deputy General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Human Services, and also worked in the debtor/creditor field.
